About

My name is Lisa Burdine, and I’ve spent the last decade as a casino blogger, immersed in the colorful and exciting world of online gaming. It’s funny how life takes you down paths you never imagined — I certainly didn’t expect to be so deeply connected to casinos, especially considering my career started miles away from spinning reels and blackjack tables. But, as I reflect on my journey, it all makes perfect sense now.

I grew up in a small town where excitement didn’t exactly come knocking. My family wasn’t into gambling, and the most thrilling game I remember playing as a kid was a round of Monopoly on family nights. But, even then, there was always something that fascinated me about strategy, risk, and reward. I had no idea how those childhood games would translate into a passion for something much larger later in life.

After finishing college with a degree in communications, I worked in a variety of jobs, from copywriting to public relations. It wasn’t until my early 30s, though, that my world shifted in a new direction. A friend introduced me to the world of online casinos. At first, I was skeptical. Gambling wasn’t something I had thought much about, but I decided to give it a try out of sheer curiosity. I figured I’d spin a few slots, maybe try out poker, and that would be the end of it. Little did I know, I was stepping into a world that would soon capture my heart and redefine my career.

What initially started as a casual interest grew into a deep love for the intricacies of casino games. I wasn’t just interested in the excitement of playing — I wanted to understand how these games worked, what strategies could be used, and, more importantly, how I could share that knowledge with others. That’s when I realized I could combine my love for writing with my new interest in casinos. The idea of blogging about my experiences came naturally, and so began my journey as a casino blogger.

When I first launched my blog, I had no idea what to expect. There were already plenty of seasoned voices out there, and I worried that my perspective would get lost in the shuffle. But I knew I had something unique to offer — a fresh, female perspective in what seemed like a male-dominated space. My approach was never about flashing lights or promising unrealistic wins. Instead, I focused on the real experience of playing, from the ups and downs to the little victories that keep you coming back for more. I wanted my readers to feel like they were sitting across from a friend, getting honest advice and stories.

My blog started to gain traction quickly. What surprised me most was how many people were eager to learn about responsible gambling. I made it my mission to share tips not only on how to win but also on how to enjoy the casino experience without going overboard. I think my readers appreciated the honesty in my posts — I never sugar-coated the reality of gambling, and I always reminded them that, while it’s fun, it’s essential to play smart.

As my blog grew, so did my opportunities. I began collaborating with some of the biggest online casinos, writing reviews, and testing out new games before they were launched. This gave me an insider’s perspective that most players don’t get, and I took my role as a guide seriously. Whether I was reviewing a new slot game or explaining the ins and outs of live dealer blackjack, my goal was always to help players make informed decisions. I wanted them to have the best possible experience, just like I did when I first stumbled into the world of online casinos.

One of the highlights of my career came when I was invited to attend the ICE Totally Gaming conference in London, one of the biggest events in the gaming industry. Walking through those doors and seeing the latest innovations in online gaming was like stepping into the future. It was a moment when I realized just how far I had come from my small-town beginnings. The industry had become a second home to me, and being able to connect with developers, other bloggers, and professionals was exhilarating.

But it wasn’t always a smooth ride. Blogging, as glamorous as it can seem, requires a lot of time and dedication. There were moments when I doubted whether I could keep up with the fast-paced changes in the industry, or whether my voice still mattered among the sea of content out there. But every time I received a message from a reader thanking me for my advice or telling me how much they enjoyed one of my posts, it reminded me why I started in the first place.

I’ve learned that gambling is not just about games — it’s about the people, the stories, and the community behind it. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with fellow bloggers, players, and even casino insiders who have helped shape my understanding of this world. Through these relationships, I’ve grown not only as a blogger but as a person.

Today, my blog reaches thousands of readers each month, and I’ve expanded into podcasting and live streaming, where I share live game experiences and interview industry experts. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of the work I’ve done. But more than that, I’m excited for what’s to come. The world of online casinos is constantly evolving, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my time as a casino blogger, it’s that life is a lot like a game of chance. You never know what’s coming next, but if you play smart, stay passionate, and keep learning, you’ll always come out on top. And for me, this wild, unexpected ride has been the best gamble I’ve ever taken.
