2018 Summer Meeting (Incorporating U16's Championship)

Our 2018 Summer meeting was held today (4th July) at Kinross G.C playing over the Montgomery Course.

There was a smaller than normal field due to holidays and the number of players away at the Scottish Boys & Scottish Girls.

For many of today's players it was the 1st time playing the Montgomery course and off the white tees made it very tricky to score well.

The course was in very good condition considering the weeks of dry weather we have had and credit to the staff at Kinross for presenting a true test for some of our younger players.

Winner at the end of the day was Josh Dolzanski from Taymouth Castle with runner up Alexander Ewen (King James VI) runner up and Rory Hutchison (Milnathort) third.

Special mention to Nicholas Bradley from Auchterarder who was 2nd Nett in his first ever County competition. Hopefully this will be the first of many!

As always we must thank everyone at Kinross for making us so welcome - but especially John Fraser, Susan Quinn and Greg McSporran who always go out of their way to help support Perth & Kinross CGU.

COVID 19 - P&KCGU

It is with much regret that Perth & Kinross County Golf Union must put everything on "hold" in line with current Government & Scottish Golf advice and guidelines.

The Executive Team will have regular discussions to constantly review this situation and will keep the Website and Facebook page updated as quickly as possible.  We will also take advice as to whether or not we need to "furlough" the Secretary position at this time and will advise accordingly in due course.

We are all members of Clubs within P&K and fully understand just how difficult the current situation is for members but also for all our staff and volunteers.

In terms of timelines - we will cancel everything planned with immediate effect (25th March) up to the end of April.

Our Champion of Champions event scheduled for 3rd May is still "on" - but this again will be subject to regular review along with all our other events, team matches, coaching etc.

We hope that you will understand our actions and be re-assured by the positon we have taken to ensure the safety of everyone connected with our Clubs throughout Perth & Kinross.
