Juniors Golf

2018; The yearly P&K Jnr Coronation Greensome competition is;

Sunday 20 May 2018, 9 am onwards

At Dunning Golf Club

(£6.- entry per team, payable on the day)

Please send team entries (2 players) by e-mail to:  PKCjuniorsgolf@gmail.com

The rules of the competition are attached and described below.

Here's how Pinehurst works. Remember, it's a 2-person team format.

Both golfers on the team hit drives.
They walk forward to their balls, but then they switch golf balls. Golfer A hits Golfer B's ball, Golfer B plays Golfer A's ball.
After their second shots, they compare the results. Which golf ball is in the best position? They select that ball and pick up the other.
From the third stroke on, they play alternate shot until the ball is holed.

And that's Pinehurst: Hit drives - switch balls for the second strokes - pick up the worse of the balls after the second stroke - play alternate shot into the hole from there.

The maximum handicap of this competition is 28.

Team handicaps are: ½ combined handicap of players.

Players will be competing for the Coronation Trophy, both gross and net score will count.

The maximum handicap of this competition is 28.
The rules are as follows:
Both players tee off, then they switch golf balls;
Player A plays Player B's drive, and vice-versa.
Each player hits the second shot.
They then select the better of the second shots, and from that point until the ball is holed they play only one ball in an alternate shot format.
Team handicaps are: ½ combined handicap of players.
Players will be competing for the Coronation Trophy, both gross and net score will count.

COVID 19 - P&KCGU

It is with much regret that Perth & Kinross County Golf Union must put everything on "hold" in line with current Government & Scottish Golf advice and guidelines.

The Executive Team will have regular discussions to constantly review this situation and will keep the Website and Facebook page updated as quickly as possible.  We will also take advice as to whether or not we need to "furlough" the Secretary position at this time and will advise accordingly in due course.

We are all members of Clubs within P&K and fully understand just how difficult the current situation is for members but also for all our staff and volunteers.

In terms of timelines - we will cancel everything planned with immediate effect (25th March) up to the end of April.

Our Champion of Champions event scheduled for 3rd May is still "on" - but this again will be subject to regular review along with all our other events, team matches, coaching etc.

We hope that you will understand our actions and be re-assured by the positon we have taken to ensure the safety of everyone connected with our Clubs throughout Perth & Kinross.
