Great opening event to kick off our 2019 Perth & Kinross Junior Season.  The Barrie Douglas Foundation Coaching Medal.  This has evloved thanks to the support of the BDF - and will be a permanent season opening event for us at P&K.

We had 16 of our young players tackle the tricky Wee Course at Blairgowrie in glorious sunshine - so much better than 2 weeks ago in the snow!

The entry numbers were down slightly due to the start of the school holidays but it was so good to see a lot of the players who had been part of our Winter Coaching Set Ups take part - along with a few new faces.

The Overall Scratch Winner was Connor Graham (Blairgowrie) with an impressive 2 Under Par score of 62.

The Overall Handicap Winner was Blair Hockley (Strathmore) with an amazing 82 less 28 = 54.  This was simply outstanding in his first ever P&K event and another one to look out for in the future - a product of the very successful Junior Programme at Strathmore.

Connor and Blair also were the winners of the U14's Scratch & Handicap sections.

The Under 16's Scratch was won by Josh Dolzanski (Taymouth) and the handicap by Aaron Campbell (Blairgowire)

The Under 18's Scratch was won by Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) and the Handicap by Rory Hutchison (Milnathort).

Special thanks to Blairgowrie for looking after us all so well and a special thanks to the Barrie Douglas Foundation for supporting this event.

COVID 19 - P&KCGU

It is with much regret that Perth & Kinross County Golf Union must put everything on "hold" in line with current Government & Scottish Golf advice and guidelines.

The Executive Team will have regular discussions to constantly review this situation and will keep the Website and Facebook page updated as quickly as possible.  We will also take advice as to whether or not we need to "furlough" the Secretary position at this time and will advise accordingly in due course.

We are all members of Clubs within P&K and fully understand just how difficult the current situation is for members but also for all our staff and volunteers.

In terms of timelines - we will cancel everything planned with immediate effect (25th March) up to the end of April.

Our Champion of Champions event scheduled for 3rd May is still "on" - but this again will be subject to regular review along with all our other events, team matches, coaching etc.

We hope that you will understand our actions and be re-assured by the positon we have taken to ensure the safety of everyone connected with our Clubs throughout Perth & Kinross.
